NYSSEF ISEF Fairs
Please NOTE: Unless prohibited in writing by your regional fair, up to 10 projects can participate in NYSSEF 2024/school.
NYSSEF ISEF 2024 will take place using a hybrid format.
Round 1 - Video Presentation (Virtual)
Round 2 - Lightning Round at the New York Hall of Science (in person)
Top students will be named as Regeneron ISEF 2024 finalists and attend Regeneron ISEF 2024 IN PERSON (all finalists must provide valid vaccination cards).
Initial registration opens on December 11, 2023 and closes on February 9, 2024.
Round I Presentation video, paper, and paperwork uploads close February 26, 2024 - 5PM. Please see your school liaison for details. Teacher/Liaison Check and review - by February 27, 2024 - 5 PM. Please don't wait until the last day!!

After initial registration closes NYSSEF will receive payment for student participants from the teacher liaison and instructions clarify any project and video upload questions. Thank you for your patience.
NYSSEF Andromeda/Broadcom divisions are running June 3, 2024 at Plainview-Old Bethpage Jamaica Avenue School.

NYSSEF is the ISEF/Society for Science affiliated state fair for New York.
The NYSSEF ISEF is the world’s preeminent international science project competition for students in 9th through 12th grades. NYSSEF ISEF brings together students, teachers, scientific researchers, corporate executives, and government officials from around the world. Students compete for over $4 million in scholarships, tuition grants, scientific equipment, and scientific trips.
The top projects from the ISEF Division of NYSSEF will represent the State of New York at the 2024 ISEF in Los Angeles, CA.

February 9, 2024 - ALL NYSSEF STUDENT registration closes
February 26, 2024 (5 PM) – Judging video’s and FULL PDF paperwork upload deadline
February 27, 2024 (5 PM) – School Liaison check of ALL STUDENT video’s and FULL PDF paperwork upload deadline
March 1, 2024 - NYSSEF payment is due
March 2- 8, 2024– Round I Judge scoring
March 9, 2024 – Live Lightning Round 2 participants announced
March 25, 2024– Round 2 - In-Person at the New York Hall of Science, Queens, NY
March 27, 2024 - NYSSEF ISEF Finalist meeting, location TBA
