NYSSEF ISEF Fairs:
Please NOTE: Unless prohibited in writing by your regional fair, up to 10 projects can participate in NYSSEF ISEF 2026/school.

NYSSEF ISEF 2026 will be held in a hybrid format.
1. Initial Teacher and Student Registration must be completed by Jan. 23, 2026, 5 p.m. EST
2. Round 1 - Video Presentation (Virtual + Paperwork); due January 30, 2026, 5 p.m. EST
3. Round 2 - New York Hall of Science (in-person); March 30, 2026
4. NYSSEF ISEF Finalist Meeting - March 31, 2026 (Location TBA, 4 p.m. EST)

Top students will be named as potential Regeneron ISEF 2026 finalists and attend Regeneron ISEF 2026 in person.

*December 4, 2025 - NYSSEF ISEF Teacher Informational Session
*December 8, 2025 - NYSSEF ISEF Student Registration opens
STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THE INITIAL REGISTRATION TO PARTICIPATE IN NYSSEF!

Round I -
*January 23, 2026 - ALL NYSSEF ISEF STUDENT registration closes
*January 24, 2026 - NYSSEF payment is due (SCHOOL DISTRICTS should pay for student participants)
*January 30, 2026 (5 PM) – Asynchronous Video presentation, research paper, and forms uploads deadline; Failure to upload these materials by January 30, 2026, will result in Failing To Qualify (FTQ; no refunds)
*January 30, 2026 (8 PM) – School Liaison check of ALL STUDENT videos and FULL PDF paperwork upload deadline - Please don't wait until the last day to upload the video and paperwork!!
*February 3 - 10, 2026 – Round I Virtual and Asynchronous Judge scoring

Round II -
*February 16 - 20, 2026  – Round II participants announced (please do not email seeking updates)
*March 26, 2026 - Round 2 - Final Presentation Board upload and Final SRC Correction upload
*March 30, 2026– Round 2 - In-Person judging at the New York Hall of Science, Queens, NY
*March 31, 2026 - NYSSEF ISEF MANDATORY Finalist meeting, location TBA‍

After initial registration closes, student participant payments should be submitted via the school district and teacher liaison. Liaisons should report any project and/or video upload questions.

NYSSEF Andromeda/Broadcom divisions are running at Jericho High School, Date - April 30, 2026.

Please NOTE: Up to 10 projects can participate in NYSSEF Andromeda and up to 10 for the Thermo-Fisher competitions!! Initial registration opens on TBA and closes on TBA.
